One of the things we’re proudest of at Story Rangers is the team we’ve built.

We may all have a background in education, but between us we now have over 100 years of experience across different age groups, settings, roles and areas of expertise.

And when we say different, we really mean it.

Within our team we have Early Years experts, Primary School teachers, Secondary English and Drama specialists, Teaching Assistants and qualified SENCOs. We have experience of working with children of different ages, abilities and needs, and we all bring something slightly different to the table.

But the really special bit?

We share it.

You’re not building your business on your own

One of the things we hear so often from people considering a franchise is that starting a business can feel daunting.

And we completely understand that.

You might be brilliant at working with children, but have never marketed a business before. You might have years of classroom experience, but no idea where to start with finding venues or approaching schools and nurseries. You might feel confident delivering a session, but less confident with the business side of things.

We don’t expect any one person to know everything.

Instead, we’ve created a team where people ask questions, share ideas, offer advice and genuinely want to see each other succeed.

If someone discovers something that works brilliantly in their territory, they share it. If somebody needs advice, there’s usually someone in the team who has experience they can draw on.

Of course, our franchisees have the ongoing support of us at HQ too. But they also have something we think is incredibly valuable: each other.

Your experience matters too

Something else we really want our franchisees to know is that joining Story Rangers doesn’t mean leaving everything else you’re good at behind.

Quite the opposite.

We want people to bring their experience, ideas and passions with them.

We’ve already seen members of our team find opportunities beyond running their own Story Rangers classes.

One of our franchisees discovered a real talent and passion for marketing and now earns an additional income working as our Marketing Lead.

Another has used her singing and performing background to deliver training to the wider team on the effective use of voice. She’s also now combining another of her passions, the Welsh language, with Story Rangers as she works on adapting our programme so that it can be delivered bilingually and through the medium of Welsh.

These are things we couldn’t necessarily have predicted when they first joined us.

And we love that.

Because as Story Rangers grows, we want the people within it to grow too.

There isn’t one type of Story Rangers franchisee

You don’t need to have followed exactly the same career path as us.

You don’t need to be brilliant at every part of running a business before you begin.

And you certainly don’t need to have all the answers.

What matters far more to us is finding people who believe in what we’re doing, love working with children and families, and want to build something of their own while being part of something bigger.

You’ll bring strengths to the team that somebody else doesn’t have.

They’ll bring strengths that you can learn from.

And together, we become better.

That’s the kind of franchise network we always wanted Story Rangers to be. Not simply a collection of people running the same business in different parts of the country, but a team that genuinely lifts each other up.
